With the schools in UAE starting last week, the expats are back in the country. Some expats had travelled to their home countries for Onam and Eid leading to a massive rush at airports in the beginning of this month. After the school rush got over, the airlines have consequently reduced the prices of tickets. In the off season, airlines are luring passengers with offers beyond sale on air tickets.
Dubai-based Emirates has introduced a special offer, where you can carry 10-15kg extra on economy-class tickets to select destinations. Passengers flying to Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Karachi, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Jakarta, Cebu, Clark and Colombo will also be able to carry 10kg extra baggage with them, but only on select flights.
Offer is valid for tickets sold until September 30, 2017, and travel until December 13, 2017. The airline has special baggage limits for Skywards members.

Flydubai, based in Dubai, has already announced 50 per cent off on all economy and business class tickets. This offer is valid on the lowest one -way and return fares in economy and business class to select destinations originating from Dubai, the company said in its website. The list of places includes Amman, Ahmedabad, Bahrain, Baghdad, Baku, Bangkok, Beirut, Chennai, Colombo, Delhi and many more.

Until November 30, 2017, all passengers flying from Dubai to Manila on Cebu Pacific who pre-purchase baggage allowance of 40 kilograms will get an additional 25 kilograms, completely free-of-charge*- that's a total of 65 kilograms of check-in baggage, equivalent to the weight of a typical 'balikbayan box.'
