Emirates said it has decided to revive the baggage bonus promo, as demand for more space on certain routes at this time of year is still high.

“Despite our baggage allowances being amongst the most generous in the industry, we are always looking for ways to enhance our product offering for our customers, particularly on certain routes and at times of the year when we know they will be packing more,” an Emirates spokesperson told Gulf News.

“By increasing the baggage allowance, we are alleviating customers’ packing stress and allowing them to pack more for themselves or take gifts for their family and friends.”

Travellers bound for Khartoum, Cebu, Clark, Colombo, Jakarta, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Amman, Kabul, Mashhad and Tehran can carry ten kilos more, making the total allowance for checked bags to 40 kilos.

Flyers to Beijing, Guangzhou, Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Algiers, Cairo, Casablanca, Dar Es Salam, Dakar, Entebbe, Harare, Luanda, Lagos, Lusaka and Nairobi are entitled to travel with 15 kilos more, making the total allowance for checked bags to 45 kilos.
