    Find out if you are eligible.His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has decreed that the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority's scholarship department will issue full-ride university scholarships for employees' children.

    UAE citizens' children who earn less than Dh50,000 a month, retired Sewa pensioners, as well as children of deceased Sewa pensioners, or those benefitting from social services, are eligible for a full scholarship, as stated in the Mubasher programme.

    Employees or former employees who earned more than Dh50,000 a month, are business owners, or are deceased and their children receive their pensions, are eligible for a 50 per cent scholarship.

    According to a spokesperson for Sewa's scholarship department, the Ruler's decree affects Sharjah citizens who's children attended either public or private schools.

    The final day to apply for the scholarships for the upcoming academic year is August 5.

    The decree was implemented in conjunction with the University of Sharjah (UoS) and the American University of Sharjah (AUS).

    The Sharjah ruler also issued a decree giving determined ones full ride scholarships to the University of Sharjah for all academic degrees including diploma, bachelor's, masters, or doctorate.
