These are the world's fastest cars in 2017

These are the world's fastest cars : Earlier, we had a list of the fastest cars you may see on the roads. Many of these cars - on the list - can be seen on the streets of Dubai. But, as time and technology would allow, new cars have been made since and they are all faster than cars launched in 2016. A new breed of 'faster' supercars has arrived - and it was only a matter of time when some of them made it to the city that loves supercars.

    2018 McLaren 720S (212 mph)

Considered as the 'baddest' McLaren in their current roster of supercars, the 720s is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine and is a true example of the brand's quest to push the limits of automotive engineering. It is noteworthy that one of them has already been spotted in Dubai!

    2017 Ford GT (216 mph)

Many car reviews on Youtube, including Jay Leno himself dubbed the next-generation Ford GT as a 'racecar tamed for the streets;' and it doesn't fail to impress. Despite only being equipped with a V6 engine, the GT did win the prestigious LeMans endurance race. A title not many manufacturers can boast of.

    2018 Lamborghini Aventador S (217 mph)

Lamborghini's website couldn't have said it better. 'Only an Aventador could surpass itself.' And rightfully so, since the car has already achieved an iconic status akin to the Diablo and the Countach. The new Aventador S coupe uses a new V12 engine with 740 horsepower. It also has a new four-wheel steering system which can 'mimic' a long and short wheelbase vehicle - ensuring the driver has complete control of the car all the time.

2018 Aston Martin Valkyrie (250 mph)

While the top speed numbers are according to Aston Martin's estimates, this superlight hypercar is the result of a joint effort between Aston Martin and it's F1 team. Everything about the uniquely shaped body screams aerodynamics and downforce. It's also purposely design to be extremely light - to the point that the regular badge was considered too heavy. What did Aston do? They engineered a new badge that is 30 per cent thinner than human hair and weighs 99.4 per cent lighter than a regular badge. (define badge for the common reader)

    2017 Bugatti Chiron (261 mph)

In case you missed it, this car is on display at Dubai's Bugatti showroom. It's only a matter of time before you see one of these on the streets too. The Chiron is the successor to the Bugatti Veyron which, during its time, has also carried the title of the world's fastest car. It has a 1,500 horsepower, quad-turbo W-16 engine that is said to go beyond the recorded 261 mph.
